Gone are the days of celebrating Valentine's Day with a beautiful candlelight dinner, expensive bottle of wine, a sexy black little dress and time to get ready for a magical night without a million interruptions.
These days instead of whispering sweet nothings to one another, my husband and I are trying to figure out who is going to take which kid to a certain activity, what we are making for dinner, reviewing homework assigments, juggling our business responsibilities, etc. Needless to say, our Valentine's Day celebrations are now kept to a minimum. A very basic dinner, sometimes even leftovers paired with a cheap bottle of wine, running to a basketball practice or dance class and buying at the very last minute a Valentine's Day card for the hubs. Guess what? I would not trade my basic and not very romantic Valentine's Day for anything in this world, as long as I have my loves next to me, I am okay with leftovers and a cheap glass of red vino :)
